Cleric
D&D character sheets, finally digital and actually usable mid-session.
Role Full-Stack Developer & Designer
Duration 4 months
Overview
A web app for managing Dungeons & Dragons character sheets — built for clerics and spellcasters. Track stats, spell slots, and character progression without a paper pile next to your dice.
The Challenge
Paper sheets get messy fast. Digital alternatives are bloated or feel sterile. Players needed something fast, offline-ready, and that felt like it belonged at the table.
The Solution
A clean, responsive app with real-time spell tracking and auto-calculations. Offline-first architecture. The aesthetic nods to classic D&D without cosplaying as one.
Tools & Technologies
React · Next.js · TypeScript · Tailwind CSS · Vercel · Figma
Key Learnings
- Playtesting with real groups is non-negotiable — they use it differently than I imagined.
- Offline-first turned out to be the most-thanked feature (basements have terrible signal).
- Layered information architecture: simple on the surface, deep when you need it.
